Megan, is a 500 hour yoga and Mindfulness teacher , both for adults and children, specialising in Yin and Seasonal Hatha Vinyasa yoga.
Megan who from an early age developed a keen interest in mental health and was fascinated by the workings of the mind. This fascination led her to study Psychology at Edinburgh University, where she graduated with a 2.1 in 2012. After university she wanted to gain experience working with people and gaining life experience, which led her to work in Vietnam teaching children and travel around Asia. While travelling she discovered yoga and experienced a positive change in her own mental health and wellbeing, which inspired her to train as a yoga teacher.
It was during her training she truly became to understand the importance of developing a healthy mind-body connection and the dynamic impact on health a holistic approach can make.
While completing her training she worked for a company, where she set up a brand new business offering Mindfulness support for corporate companies all over the UK, helping to prevent burn out in the work place and boost staff moral. Once she completed her teacher training she set up her own company which has been running for four years. During this time, she has set up and ran yoga retreats in the UK & Spain, taught children yoga in schools across Liverpool and worked one to one with clients helping them to achieve a happier and healthier lifestyle.
Megan believes that continuous learning is important, since her teacher training she has completed her Mindfulness in Schools Training, 300 hour yoga Teacher Training specialising in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Yin Yoga in India, attended an intensive training course with Usha Devi and underwent Vipassana, 10 days of silent meditation.
Megan’s purpose is to make yoga accessible to everyone. To enable this to happen she offers a variety of levels in each class enabling both beginners and more advanced students to practice together.
